    Meat gets pretty small when you wrap it in plastic wrap. I'm always disappointed in how little backstrap I have and I butcher my own.

    What did the doc that did the work say? I'd bet he/she has better insight than anyone thats gonna have any input here. Similar injuries/surgeries dont always have similar results.

    Like Wapiti said, If the bolt opens with the guard screw tight, its not bottomed out, you need a longer threaded section on the guard screw. If it is bottomed out, introduce is to your grinder. Just take little cuts and test it.

    First buck I ever shot was a DOW decoy. I told them that I should be allowed to keep it since I shot it legally... Was a pretty solid buck.
