Me and my buddies shot 7 bulls with the 6.5 CM with the143 ELDX bullet. Keep it in the ribs going into the elk and it's not going far if anywhere. One of the bulls I shot last year scored 363. My max range is 600 yards in perfect conditions. I practice to 800 yards.
Thanks for the link. I heard a new spotter is going to be released on Monday to compete with the STC/ATC. I think I know what it is but we will see on Monday.
I have used a VX5 for serval years and has worked perfect. I had a Nightforce SHV and it is a better, amazing scope but for hunting I like the VX5 better (smaller and lighter).
Great review Matt. I think for a little more money and a little more weight I would go with the 80mm. I was looking to see if they have a Rokslide discount.
@Travis Hobbs is it doable to take one STC off if you want to go really small and light for a day or two or would it be to much of a pain to do that? What's your thoughts on this? Thank you!
If all of these are on a tripod and you just trying to find elk or deer what distance would you use these?
10x binos = what distance would you use this?
15x binos = what distance would you use these?
BTX with 65 or 85mm OBJ= what distance would you use these?
Single eye spotter?
Thanks for you...
