i loved hunting mulies in the mountains of SW Montana but the last few trips were only able to find small forkies and does. i know they had some long winters in the past few years. hope this helps

tikka T3 lite in 308 is great elk medicine out to 500yds with 180gr sierra gamekings. Europtic has them on sale right now for sub $650. Absolutely great rifles
I'm not sure you can manage any numbers or quality without owning or having control of a vast amount of property. All we do is try to not shoot any does that have fawns with them so the fawns have a fighting chance of surviving their first winter.
butchering your own if you have the time is so satisfying. and knowing you getting YOUR meat back and not some partial ground from another hunters game is priceless to me. ive seen how some people gut/handle game and no thanks
havent posted on here in a little bit but read what you guys are doing for motivation, did a 1/2 hr treadmill hill climb program this morning and have been doing 3miles 5 nights a week with a 50lb ruck. eating healthy and this workout combo has me down 27lbs this year!!!
