    I have a Tikka that shoots really really well with a factory load I like. I’d like to cut and suppress it. If done correctly, what’re the odds that it won’t shoot that load as well as it does now? Is the idea that chopping a barrel could ruin accuracy yet another internet farce?

    Got ya. Personally, and this is only my opinion, high BC bullets (140+ for 6.5, 175+ for 7mm, etc) at 2900-3000fps represent THE MOST impressive ballistics on paper. But as for your dilemma on the 6.5 PRC or the 284 Win… oh dude, no question. 284 Win 100%. Shoot that 155 Deadblow!

    No one has mentioned the fact that you could buy a factory rifle in 7 PRC and have the twist rate and potentially the magazine to load some pretty heavy monos, like the 177 Hammer Hunters. I mean, that’s pretty cool to me but I understand not everyone cares about monos.
