Stick with the Magnus! I think I read one of those threads you were talking about and noticed at least one of those “failures” was a solid shoulder shot...yeah blame the broadhead...
I pop the blades out of my rages and hit them on a buffing wheel with black compound on my bench grinder with a pair of pliers. Shaving sharp in a couple passes.
Have had very good luck with the cheap lighted nocks on eBay. Never worried about a couple grains + or - from different brands. Just practice with what you buy.
Last season I found an arrow in the dark 6 days after I shot a deer with it. Decided to leave it on and see how long I could see it in my basement. Well over a month and it was still on. I got tired of looking at it. These were cheap imitation nocturnals.
My pediatrist suggested coating the entire bottom of my foot with tincture of benzion. It’s typically used to help stuff stick to your skin, but he said will form a protective layer over the skin that should last for several days.
Was going to hijack another thread but figured I’d start fresh. Does anyone else ever have fit issues with just one foot? Almost every boot out there feels good on my left foot, but can be very painful on my right. Saw my pediatrist, no answers. insoles help, but not always. Im trying to walk...
All great points, but also for the new hunter, take your bow to a shop or an experienced archer and make sure it is tuned properly!!! Most archers can take a poorly tuned bow and in a few minutes move some pins around and consistently hit where your aiming. BUT that arrow could have so little...
Do the masks do anything? Well in Hong Kong, they have had similar outbreaks in the past, so many residents routinely wear masks. The population there is similar to NY City. They have had a total of 1400 total cases and 7 deaths so far. NY City has had 223000 cases and over 22000 deaths. 7 vs...
Just started fletching my own and love my 4 fletch set up. I second the Arizona EZ fletch. Makes 3 fletch a breeze and you can do 4 fletch with it also, it just takes longer as you have to do one vane at a time. Also like my Bohning pro fletch.
If I had a sept-oct hunt I might have some hope. I have a Quebec fishing trip set for July 30 and the current restrictions go until July 21. I’ll have 9 days notice either way. I’m sure they will extend the closure again so I’m not planning on going. I also believe the border will be an all or...
My co-worker said his brother went to Main 2-3 weeks ago for long weekend. Can’t quarantine for two weeks if you’re only there for 4 days....received a 500.00 fine in the mail. They got his plate# from the toll cameras entering and leaving the state. Send in the $$$ or proof that you had...
Sad to see what has happen to the caribou population there. I went for moose in 2005 and we saw multiple big caribou every single day. They were like squirrels popping up everywhere. Thought to myself, these things are too easy to hunt. They would just come walking right to us. I remember...
I guess I’m one of the few....I just shut my left eye when I shoot. Never had any issues. I’ve seen this question come up in many other forums and it’s usually 50/50 on switch or close the left eye. I won’t say I’ve never missed a shot, but I will say that I’ve never missed because I close my...
