It would suck having to get out of the tent before making my coffee and breakfast in the morning. I like my fuel stove. start the water heating before I get out of the sleeping bag. puts a little warmth in the tent.
I have a seekoutside frame. Before it I had kifaru. For me the Seekoutside is more comfortable even when carrying heavy loads. And the weight savings is great. For day hunts I have a kuiu ultra 1800 attached to the frame. When packing in for multiple days I use a dry bag between the 1800 and the...
I have had one for quit a while now. It has served its purpose well. sometimes the incoming messages are delayed a bit but it works for what I need it for. It is big and bulky but so were the other inreach models until they came out with the mini. I think I will upgrade to that before next summer.
My seek outside frame works great for light loads. I use it for packing in camp. I also use it every day hunting. I have never felt I needed something different.
I would recommend Seek Outside. I have used Mystery ranch, Kuiu and Kifaru. None of them worked for me as well as the SO. It is a very durable frame, I don't worry about it all with heavy loads. I already had a kuiu ultra 1800 bag that I use on it and a dry bag for the main bag
I use a Seekoutside pack frame. A large drybag as my main pack bag and a Kuiu ultra 1800 as compression panel. When camp is set I use the Ultra 1800 on the frame as my daily hunt pack. Works great, everything stays dry that needs to be when hiking in in the rain.
Do you just lay directly on your sleeping pad, isn't that uncomfortable? If so how heavy of an insulated pad do you use so the cold doesn't come from the ground up? I am interested in a quilt but not sure how you keep from getting cold when using one. Any pics and insight is welcomed.
Also who...
There you go. Two people using the same two pack frames and two totally different opinions. only each individual can decide which one works best for them. Just for reference I am 5' 10" and 185 lb

I have used both pack frames. I have packed out elk with both. For me the SeekOutside frame fits better and carries heavy loads as well as just my daily hunting loads more comfortable for me. The large Lumbar pad and hip belt on Kifaru always gave me problems, I could never get them to fit...
I have not compared the sawyer to the trail shot but i can fill my 3L bag as fast with my sawyer as my brother does with his katydyn hiker pro pump. And the sawyer is a lot lighter. Both have adapters to fill through the hose

i don't spend big bucks on hunting clothing. I buy the least expensive quick drying clothing in different weights I can (yes walmart and if I have enough cabelas points what ever the most inexpensive brand is they have on sale) and it works great. If I could get it cheaper because it is in drab...
I have used Kifaru Bikini and hunter frames, Mystery ranch, Sitka, Kuiu. The Seek Outside fits me better and feels better under a load. Also the ability to change the frame height is very nice. The lumbar pad on other packs is what seemed to always cause me issues. That is why i decided to try...
