    Replacing GPS with a watch

I would like to try a fenix 3, but don't think it could replace BackCountry Navigator on my phone. I guess it really depends on what GPS features you need or want. I utilize land ownership info that can't be reproduced on a watch yet.

    September Layers

Here is what I use in the Rockies. Light and/or medium merino top, light merino bottoms, tiburon or attack pants, down puffy, rain shell, liner sock and regular weight merino sock. The forecast decides if I have the medium merino top and which pants I wear.

    WTB: Stone Glacier Sky 5100

Must say something about them, if no one wants to sell one. You're in luck though I've seen them here: http://www.stoneglacier.com/hunting-packs/sky-5100 :p Seriously though, good luck in the search. If your patient I bet a used one comes up in the next few months.

Looking for a lightweight hunting daypack

I've used Eberlestock packs day hunting and agree that they don't make ideal day packs. I also don't like them for packing meat, if you have a average to long torso. If you want to buy a new pack I'd look at one of these. EXO, Kifaru, KUIU, Mystery Ranch, Paradox, or my favorite Stone Glacier...

Looking for a lightweight hunting daypack

When backpacking, I day hunt out of my main pack. I do not see the need for an extra pack. I can also start packing meat without an extra two way hike to get my main pack.

    Bed or quilt

Having used quilts for the past several years. I really appreciate the flexibility and weight savings. The Sierra Designs backcountry bed doesn't look as flexible and weighs more than a comparable temperature rated quilt. I haven't and don't know anyone who has a bed. So my opinion is biased.

If I win, I'll be using the quilt on my scouting trips and hunts this fall.

    Rino GPS Pouch

I've used the CamelBak radio pouch for a while. It is very well built, inexpensive and would work fine with a Rino.

Best day pack for multi use?

Comfort is subjective and too personal. What is comfortable for one may not be for you. See if people locally have packs you could try on. Even then it is pretty hard to say until you have some trail miles with weight in the pack.

Best backpack combination for what I do!!

Nice combo. Do you find that you are snagging your gun butt a lot. In the pictures it looks like it is riding high.

Best day pack for multi use?

If you want a true 1.5 day pack size with serious hauling capabilities the Stone Glacier Approach bag is pretty hard to beat IMO. I've done mountain goat, elk and mule deer pack outs with this setup. The Approach is one of my all time favorite bags.

I like big heavy No Excuses conicals if your twist rate will stabilize them.
