I figured the superlite is just the lite with flutes so same thing. I did go back and forth on whether I should remove material. I don’t regret it after todays range session.

Well I had mine in an XLR and while it was a blast at the range it was just too heavy and bulky for what I’ll likely do with it.
I grabbed a stockys with the discount code they threw us last month and sent the barreled action to LRI to get chopped to 17” and have the barrel and bolt fluted...

I bought a tikka lite stainless on this board cut to 20" threaded 5/8 - 24. There was nothing behind the threads. I shot it with a brake without worry. I have a couple cans coming and it did not make me feel comfortable which is why I just sent it to be cut shorter and threaded 1/2 - 28. Maybe...
With a similar objective in mind for next season I just bought a Christensen Ridgeline FFT 6.5 PRC. With Hornady 147 eldm it will still be over 2000 fps at 600 yds out of a 20” barrel. With a Raptor 8 and Trijicon tenmile 3-18x44 it will be around 7.5# (I don’t have the can yet).

I'm now passed 200 days for my Raptor 8 and 40 days for my Form 1 SBR. Going further into frustration. Hunt scheduled first week of January. What a maddening process seeing all these approval times, short and long, that make no sense.
