I'm not trying to pick on SG. It's just a general frustration I've had when trying to reduce pack weight. I've gotten to where I weigh everything as soon as I buy it because I don't trust the manufacturer specs anymore.

Advertised vs Actual Weight

Is anybody other than me tired of advertised weights being, shall I say, "optimistic"? My latest disappointment, EVO 3300 advertised weight 3lbs 13Oz. Actual weight 4lbs 2 oz for a difference of 5 ounces. Just wondering . . .

I bought a Mystery Ranch Sawtooth 45 last summer while I was trying to figure out my pack setup. I tried it on in the house and tried packing my gear in it several times, but never used it. Pack still has the tags on it. It's been sitting in my closet since last summer, so it's time to let it...
