    37 is an extremely challenging unit to hunt. Elk and deer have been decimated in the last decade, then throw in the wolf introductions. I'll give this tip.. the areas that hold elk tend to be impossible to pack out.

    What time of year? If it's the area north of Vail there is still snow that won't be melted off until late July IMO. There are snow drifts 8+ ft high on Elliot's Ridge nearby.

    Sounds like a game management problem. Can't fault a guy that plays it right, those tags would be sold no matter what. But personally I wouldn't hunt if I couldn't or wasn't eating the meat.

    We had this disagreement last year. Percentages are a meaningless metric when all the "good" tags go to youth. It's logical from the wrong point of view.

    Thats a win for R, but still don't understand limiting NR archery while keeping OTC rifle. I voiced my opinion already, but archery is spread out that time of year while the huntable area for rifle can be cut in half due to weather. Way more crowding in rifle seasons.
