If safety is a concern, then why can a hiker or family from Texas on their summer vacation march off into the wilderness? Seems like they’d be at greater risk than a hunter. The OP already identified the real reason, which is the outfitters.
I hunted moose with Phil Shoemaker a few years back and saw a ton of bears while I was there. I believe Phil’s son and daughter are now running the outfit. I would have no hesitation booking with them.
I've had several aftermarket triggers for Remington 700 clones and Trigger Tech is my favorite by far. The only other trigger that's better in my opinion is manufactured by Anschutz.

I’ve hunted goats with both Beaverfoot Outfitters and Shadow Mountain Outfitters. Both are quality hunts. Do your homework and talk to as many references as you can. I hear stories about a lot of shady operators in southern B.C.
