    Over the counter

    There's a couple states that gives landowner tags that some landowners then sell. Normally they can go for a good chunk of change, but it's an option as well as a few states that have archery OTC tags. Just have to find those landowners with allocations.

    Bipod or no bipod?

    I mounted an adaptor on the bottom of my rifle that allows me to snap right onto the same tripod I use for glassing. I try to bring as few items as possible that only serve a single small purpose but add extra weight on the hikes and that is just what a bipod is to me. Im able to get more stable...

    Ive done both, but have settled on 200yds. Using that allows me the ability to not even consider dialing until until something is at 300yds or beyond.

    Most recently I was able to get to about 225. My brother pulled he trigger on the same hunt at around 280.

    I've been running the electric chainsaws for awhile and been impressed with the battery life. No doubt I'll be switching to an electric mower when it makes sense.
