I've got a caribou trip booked with them for 2022, trying to scope out if that's the kind of moose hunt I really want to go on.
They're solid folks, very responsive and strongly safety oriented. I'm confident the caribou hunt will be a blast, but I think the areas they moose hunt are pretty...
We were there August 20ish. 2 bulls were shot on day 2, third bull on day 4. We flew out on day 5. It gets cold enough at night that if you find/create some shade during the day the meat and hide will be plenty cool. Especially in mid September
He's how my group did it.
Ship meat capes and split skulls in fish boxes and antler boxes via NAC backhaul from Kotz to Anchorage (the cost was like $0.35/lb to do this). Fly to Anchorage and drive down to Seward to fish for a day or two. NAC will store your fish boxes in freezers for a nominal...

Was max pressure in my rifle, velocity was 3092
I've got a altitude, from before it had that moniker and was sporting the old action. I've got nothing but good things to say about it. The rifle shoots significantly better than I can shoot it. Robert and team at APR are good people and will do anything to make you happy with your rifle. Be...
You don't need an accubond for Whitetail. Any bonded bullet is great, and at 180gr most non bonded bullets are fine. Look at the hornady interbond/interlock, eldx for cheaper bullets
I have a chargemaster lite. For bulk loads it ls fine, but it does vary some.
I find that it throws 90% within 0.1gr of the target weight. The 10% that are out are within 0.2gr so still well inside of safe loads. My lights haven't bothered it, but my phone does.
For precise charges, I use a V3...

1) I load 3 of each at 0.3gr apart starting at 10% below book max.
2) Shoot them all over a chrono looking for pressure signs.
3) Also shoot around 500yds all on the same sheet of paper.
4) look for flat spot in velocity using chrono data and impacts on paper being clustered together...
I can't recommend shooting deer or hogs with subsonic 300 black outside of headshots.
I'm in Texas and have participated in field dressing/processing 4 dozen+ animals that were shot with 300 black. The 3 bullets I've got experience with are the nosler 125gr ballistic tip, barnes 110gr black...
