My understanding is that it is both a function of surface area and profile height. You just get more leverage with profile height (distance from the arrow shaft as a lever arm) and can get away with less fletching 3 vs 4, 2 inch length vs 3, etc.
As far as drag is concerned, that definitely...
Over the last 9 years, I have applied for 64 individual sheep tags, and I have drawn 1. I apply only for hunts where I have a chance of drawing a random tag. I am a CO resident, and that is where I drew my tag this year. I hope that I will be able to draw 2-3 more sheep tags in my lifetime.
I have had great luck with gas strings and will go back to them once the supply chain issues for their ghost material are worked out....
when I called them they had some strings that they could have gotten out to me right away, but I declined due to wanting camo or subdued colors for hunting...
Anyone have a recent order with ABB? How quick were they to ship?
I had an order with Gas for ghost xv camo strings, that I cancelled yesterday, the wait is just too long right now, they are having some supply chain issues with covid, understandably, so I ordered a set of ABB platinum's to get...
I’d call around to equine therapy places and get their input. My friends son is mostly confined to a wheel chair, non-communicative, and after some of his brain surgeries he did some sessions with horses, if they got him on a horse I’m sure they’ll be able to point you in the right direction...
It sounds to me like she is an operations manager as well, but I would say make sure she chooses a title that allows her trajectory towards where she wants to go with the company, don’t pick one that boxes her into just her current roles.
all that is left is for bow manufacturers to start selling direct to consumer for me to never set foot in a pro shop again.
nothing against them, the model just doesn’t work for them to make money and put out a top notch product/service.
The breakfast has increased in size over the years so the odds are not as great as a few years ago, but I’d guess it’s about 1500 present at the breakfast?
I’m a life member as well, but only made it to one breakfast, I hope to start going more often once my kids are a little bit older. I will...
I just put 80 lb limbs on my bow, I bought it with 60, my back up bow is 70. I can’t really tell a difference drawing either of them.
I am definitely one of those guys that just likes to tinker though.
I use 6 pm1.6 vanes and get good flight, last year I ran out of vanes and used 4 pro max and did well.
this year I am unsure of what I will use, either 4 pro max or 3 max stealth, I’m running a different shaft (5mm axis instead of fmj 4mm) so I’ll play around with a lot of vane combos
That is correct, the main thing that everyone fails to realize is that we are all in the same preference point pool. 3 preference points is the max point pool and the number of applicants in that pool grows every year. If you are in the point pool you have an equal chance as everyone else of...
I have a friend that asked me yesterday, a little late in the game I know, about an outfitted hunt for him, his dad, and his nephew. This would be a rifle hunt, his dad is older and they are not in the greatest shape so that is a factor, and they'd like nice cabin/accommodations, they are open...
Justin, I find the same thing, with my prime I shoot the same 4mm fmj .330 as you with 175 up front and they are way more forgiving and group tighter than .300’s
this year I am shooting an rx4 ultra, I just got 80 pound limbs for it, 29” draw. I’ll be in the same boat as you trying to find the...
