My wife and I hunted with Harris Hawks a few years ago in Ireland. Talk about a rush but I am a stickflicker at heart that also loves to trap so there is that.
I had that tag a few years ago and killed a 39 3/4 in cow on the first day right before sundown. I used a 7mm STW with 140 grain Swift A Frames. Fun hunt , can be a little tough to glass but doable without a guide. Get a room in Alamogordo , easier to drive than camp.
Mongrels are tough to beat. Sidewall is plenty tough. I know a crew in West Texas that run a dozen Polaris Generals and that's the first thing they do. Yank off factory tires and install the Kanati Mongrels.
I had a couple checks mailed on 4-3 and received 1 of the 3 as of today. They were all from a long time customer so I know they went out then. USPS is slower than crap right now.
So I have a KUIU jacket that I bought last fall and wear pretty much everyday. The zipper has parted about 3 inches up from the bottom. It will zip all the way up but then come apart . Any way to fix it ?
It wrecked my OIL Valle Vidal Elk hunt last Sept. I still have some optic nerve damage on my left eye. This crap was scary as hell. By the third day I thought I was going to have a stroke.
I realize that bigger dia bullet equals more recoil . She has a Ruger m77 in 270 that she has killed lots of stuff from deer to oryx with. And she has a 6.5 x 300m wby mag that she does pretty well with. I am looking and might I add blindly for something for moose for her.
