    .22/.22 Mag Rifles

Ya my buddy has t1x with the 20" barrel and likes it alot. I ordered a 16" since I have a suppressor just makes it easier to carry around in the brush. I used the savage 22mag all last year and it has a laminated wood stock so it's pretty heavy. When I ordered my tikka they had a bergara bmr...

How long have you been at your current job?

Two things about the house. Adding a second story is stupid expensive compared to adding a second wing off the house. Without knowing what your house looks like. The other thing is as soon as your house is paid odd I'd look at putting it into a trust or if your son is responsible going ahead...

How long have you been at your current job?

I just switched jobs... again. First job out of college I stayed 7 years. Moved and loved the job, that was 2 years ago. Wasn't planning or looking for a different job but a job found me. I was "recruited" and got a 60% raise and double the vacation. Changed an hour drive to 10 minutes. Also...

I grew up at the very end of Crabtree (rock house cove). I live on old balsam now. Wish I didn't. All the homeless and druggie are a pain in the ass. Had to call the cops last night because I watched two people shot up across from my house.

Private land access vs fully guided hunt

I feel like this would work better for you with game birds. There aren't trophies per say compared to deer. And for whatever reason no one cares about them as much. I've gotten 0 private spots outta start hunting for deer. And probably 80% of the time I get permission to bird hunt

Tips and advice for heading north for grouse

Anything is better than the 15 miles per flush here. I'd be ecstatic if we could kill a grouse a day and some how my wife knock one down during the trip. I've got two young dogs going so it's more about getting them on birds and getting them to figure it all out.

    Where to move?

biggest is probably funding. Most banks wont loan money on a construction loan without a licensed GC. and most younger people (hell most people) cant afford to pay cash for the big parts that they cant do. there are alot of towns, cities that require someone with a license. Most rural areas...

    Where to move?

Western NC is getting stupid expensive. There alot of people from up north and out on the west coast moving in. Its to expensive for most locals now but still one of the cheaper areas in the US to move to. Middle of the state has pockets of cheaper land. I live in WNC and if we move it will most...

    "Basics" in Retriever Training

Doing this with a young dog at feeding time, you can teach them a whole hell of a lot. plus it slows down their food intake, and teaches them to "learn" and "figure out what you want" without telling them.
