Hey guys! So in preparation for a sheep hunt in 2024, I’m trying to decide on a deer hunt for 2023 to test gear and myself. This past yr I burned my WY points for a hunt in region H and it was a blast. I had planned to try for an ID tag but had terrible Wi-Fi on 12/1 and was unable to get a...
Oh I know an STC won’t replace 15s for overall glassing. I live in NC now though and can’t justify 15s with how rarely I get to use them so I’ll primarily use 10s on a tripod and a spotter.
So I’m selling my non-HD STS and 15s and upgrading my spotter. I’m torn between these 3. I don’t love the weight on the STX but like the modularity. I love the idea of the STC and think it would be the best for using as I’d use the 15s when backed off to 17x. I like the STM as the best...

So I’m flying to hunt for the first time this Sep for a mule deer hunt in WY. I’ll be flying in and out of Jackson Hole. I’m thinking of buying a waterproof duffle, deboning the meat, putting it into gal bags in the duffle and hoping to find somewhere I can cool or freeze it overnight before...
While there might be new options in 2024, I want to find something I can test and be comfortable with. I dont want to be testing new gear on a hunt like that.
I’ve got a sheep hunt in 2024 and I’m concerned about volume. It’s a 10 day hunt. Does everyone think that with a full meat pocket, the 4800 remaining is enough??
