as far as a feather rest being tore up, here's my opinion. You very well may have a good tune on your rig. but it seems to me you may have a fletching clearance issue, hence the tore up feather rest.
Do you see ANY damage to your fletchings??

im shooting a bow "marked" 45#@28. I draw 29.5 .400 shafts 100gr point. very stiff for me. A 175 gr point puts me damn near right on. According to the calculators, I'm sure actual will be a little different.

Love to hear your back in the game, I know what a long lay off can feel like. When I started back it was hell pulling a 60# back that I remember felt easy before the lay off. I'm shooting a 45# now, gonna work my way back up soon. Be good brother

Arne is awesome!, He helped me out a ton! I pretty well started same as you, but I really didnt have anyone around that shot a bow. I just read and looked pictures. Tried to emulate the pictures. Shot okay, good enough for close shots anyhow, but it wasnt until I started to get a disire to...
Also, I know a lot of people talk very highly about Toelke, as they should, Damn fine bow. I had the dauntless, really wanted to try the endeavor when Dave came out with it. I promise put 'em both over a chrony with a good hunting weight arrow. I'm more than confident, BOTH will be impressive...
New guy to this forum, but I'll throw in on this thread. So far excellent advise. brands and actions. Here's another bowyer that doesnt get much mention. Dave Dwyer. He and his boy build some top shelf longbows. The grip profile may not be exactly what you have in mind, but don't let that push...
