Back on Jan 1, 2022 I was 254 lbs with painful knees. Decided to stop drinking, reduce carbs & dairy, and more fish/chicken. I do a protein shake in the morning with almond milk and some detox herbs. Today I weighed in at 205 lbs. Knees are feeling much better and was able to get off statins...
The OP was asking about a type of bullet. I responded that I had poor success with a similar design bullet that had a ballistic/polymer tip. The bullet I use was Federals' Vital Shok. I've had great success with them on deer and will continue to use them but a poor experience with Moose.
It is what I use deer hunting. It is Federals Premium Vital-Shok Trophy Bonded Tip Rifle Ammo Great penetration and deer never go much beyond 40 yards. Discussed with my guide and he admitted he should have informed about the bullet type he prefers.
I used a 300 WIN MAG with Federal 180 grain bullet with ballistic tip on my Moose hunt last fall. Shots were at 80 yards, full broadside and two of the 3 shots were placed right in the rib cage vital zone and they never penetrated beyond the hide. The expansion of the ballistic tip energy...
Your getting taken advantage of. He is using his personal situation to manipulate you. After 2 promises you need to ramp up things. Get on his social media pages where he advertises and tell your story about getting screwed.
Nice guys finish last ... and don't get paid.
I wear shoulder length plastic and latex over hands. Primarily for sanitary purposes. Also easier when done gutting to pull gloves off, wrap tools in them along with the tenderloin.
How much? As much as i want. Always ask her and she tells me to go more often. I do thing for her and with her that she enjoys so it's just supporting each other.
Not sure how I missed this thread. Had great 1st moose hunt experience back in early October. Weather was hot 1st 3 days which slowed things down then weather dropped on day 4. Took this 41" bull. Saw him the afternoon before chasing a cow and could not intercept him before they got into the...
At this point in time I would say "no". It s top on the market price wise and interest rates will continue to rise. For that size parcel you are competing with all the hobby farmers, retirees, millennial paradise seekers, organic hippies, and off the griders. For a good, not great 20 acre deer...
After 3 long years my 1st moose hunt finally came together. I started planning this hunt in 2019 and originally booked this hunt for fall of 2020 for northern Alberta, Canada. Then covid hit and Canada shut down the borders. 2020 was a complete no go then in 2021 Canada kept pushing back the...
I think the challenge you will have is that many of the Patagonia wearin, chai tea folks have moved, or bought land in ID/MT/CO etc. They have cashed out their California home value and have driven up home/land prices in these areas. You should identify some communities and then get on zillow...
Pick the target area below and shoot for the area that you feel most confident you can place a mortal wound. For me personally, i would not be comfortable with a head or upper vertebrae shot. Some like AKDoc and others are very experienced Moose hunters and have the confidence/experience to take...
