When do does regroup after having fawns?

I've seen a few small groups, 3-5, of does without fawns together. They were all pretty small, I assume they were last years fawns. Maybe that is what you saw also

    Bringing water to the antelope?

Good luck, I'm honestly interested to see how this turns out. Are you sticking with your original plan of 50 gallon tank?

    Bringing water to the antelope?

I think evaporation will be worse than you think even if it is in the shade. And like others have said, all sorts of birds and smaller critters will visit it which will use up water as well. If you get 10 days out of that 50 gallons I would be surprised. But I could easily be wrong. Looking...

    Bringing water to the antelope?

It’s a good idea but I think you’ll need a much larger tank than 50 gals. That will get used up really quickly and you’ll be traveling there a bunch to refill it

    South Dakota Archery Trip

My only advice is find where pheasant hunters haven’t been or won’t be. If you are hunting an area that has a lot of pheasant hunters the deer will be pretty much nocturnal late October

    SD ARCHERY ANTELOPE

Mid September is when they will be rutting, so that would be your best chance to use a decoy. Opening weekend pressure usually isn't too bad, as a lot of guys wait for the rut to come. Opening weekend your best tactics would be sitting a water hole or finding one bedded in a good spot and then...

    SD ARCHERY ANTELOPE

Generally speaking, the further west you go will have more antelope. But anywhere west of the Missouri River will have them. On the South Dakota GFP website you can look up tag allotments for specific counties, that should give you a pretty good idea of what areas have the most antelope.

You are correct on the Black hills being loaded with whitetail. Typically they are smaller than the deer on the plains, but you can find a 130 or better if you hunt hard

    Kansas question

Starting at 10am will greatly reduce your chances of finding a bedded buck. What I do is spend mornings glassing and locating areas that bucks went into. They rarely bed in the wide open to be easily seen. If you know what pocket of trees or what drainage they went into, you can usually get...

Muzzleloader Mule Deer Hunt Film Premiere

Just got done watching the video, well done. That encounter with the skunk would have made me sprint out of the tent!! I have never hunted mountain muleys, so not accustomed to the style of hunting you do in the video but definitely learned a few things on patience and glassing. I do have a...

If you can get the tag and the meat is used properly, either by you or donated, I have no problem. I hope someday I’m the guy that has multiple tags in multiple states for multiple species!
