I have been told Wyoming in particular waits until they can see how hard the winter was and then establish their tag quota. I still don’t know why they make the deadline so early other than they are possibly trying to make money by holding our money.
I think you’re talking about application deadlines. Results are hard to find. I have used GoHunts 2022 spreadsheet but things have changed and it’s not super easy to read.
Does anyone out there have a good spread sheet on when draw results are posted? I realize they are not always on the same date each year but just something to get a guy close.
I haven’t done anything to promote hunting. I have done things to HELP hunting in the way of voting with my wallet and try to stay current on things that I feel are harmful to it and its future. I have an 8 year old son who loves the outdoors and I want him to be able to share it with his kids...
I would like to know what exact benefits to the hunting world have come out from all the publicity he has brought to it? I think he is an important figure to the world as far as speaking out about freedoms and calling bull shit on a lot of things that he understands. But he en he talks about...
I am always distracted when I have multiple tags. I prefer to focus on one species at a time. It’s always hard for me to even think about taking the time to pack a deer out and get the meat taken care of when I could be hunting elk. That is just me though.
I prefer a pistol. I trust the impact of 9mm over some pepper spray. I bought a holster this last year that fits to my bino harness from Razco. Used to have it on my pack but I found myself taking it off occasionally where the bino harness never comes off. Would highly recommend it.
How was your hunt? Was there enough deer on the public land to make it worth it? I have an elk tag and was thinking of purchasing a whitetail tag for my dad just to give him something to do while I am out and about
