    Old Weatherby Mark V 300wby

Should be a fantastic shooter. My dad has 2 weatherby rifles my grandfather bought back in the 80s. They are both absolute tac drivers. Most accurate factory rifles I’ve ever shot. Like pick it up after a year and first three shots are one ragged hole accurate.

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Been eyeing the AAC 77g tmk for a while. Now palmetto has a “sabre” line of ammo out. Black tipped in 55/62/75gr marketed as self defense ammo. Bought a box of the 75gr and the tmk to try out. Excited to test the Sabre out to check expansion. Only $11 a box so if it’s close to a TMK I consider...

6.5 Creedmoor/260 for Deer, Elk, and whatever else.....

Terminal reports I’ve read here and elsewhere look great. Same with accuracy. Personally I haven’t shot the 156 yet. First time I’ve caught it in stock so I got my 2 boxes coming.

If you were to buy a timber gun…

Around here if you aren’t hunting the fields you won’t be able to get a shot passed 100 to save your life. Some areas to the north that could be knocked down to 50 yards max. If I’m in the former area I’ll just keep using my normal caliber. But in the thick stuff I like my 458 socom.

Like the allfather TMK. Join the cult. It only costs your hard earned dollars. First is the TMK. Then more TMK. Then reloading for the TMK. Then more rifles for the TMK. 😂

Spare Magazine or not Backcountry Sidearm

Better to have it and not need it than…. You never know what you will run into out in the backcountry. Not even counting mag/firearm failures. An extra mag or two doesn’t weight that much. Never understood the ultralight brigade. Lift some weights, eat some protein, train, and carry that...

Why the 7mm prc hate ?

In my opinion it falls into: Fudds who think anything other than 30-06 is unnecessary. People that take brand loyalty to the extreme. People that don’t dig into the finer details of things like why or how it was designed and what it does compared to xyz.

I would die happy if they made those.

Promising results with 69g TMKs and shooters world precision powder. Shot a ladder and had a nice upper range node just under max. Quick ran in the house and loaded up a few more charges in that node but ended up calling it a night. Thank you time change. I’d run them tonight but it’s...

    300 prc hunting loads

Berger hybrids and elite hunters are top notch. Lots of kill reports and loads for them. Really want to try the 245g EOL if I can find some in stock some day/month/year at this point….

50BMG. Don’t even have to hit them. Shockwave from a near miss will stop the heart.

That gaping hole in the rib cage. Oof. Not gonna recover.

    300blk

Mini chop saw and a jig. But like most I just buy new brass or shoot cheap ammo and reload that. It’s a nice, cheap tool and skill to have in your arsenal for when times get tough however.

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Check out shooters world powders. I’ve had great luck with them so far. The Match, tactical, AR plus, and precision all have loads for 77g. Based on their charts they all push them between 2700-2800ish. Tactical powder pushes them the fastest. The precision powder is very similar to varget...
