Got one of these for Christmas, so haven’t had a chance to test it out, but seems well made and sturdy?
Insulation not nearly as thick as I thought it would be , but I come from a mountaineering background and my standard of comparison is the Mountain Equipment Citadel (Primaloft 1) and K7...
Just purchased one of these jackets. I only own one Sitka piece, a Jetstream Jacket, but it’s a great garment. Very sturdy and useful?
The Dew Point was on sale, and though I prefer the solid colors, this one is in the Open Country camo..
Raining buckets here the past few days and I think this...
I’d like to find a high quality 6x42 or even 6x50 scope with Swaro level clarity and Nightforce or Trijicon durability.
For a Reticle maybe a mil-dot or just a duplex?
Anything like that out there these days?
Had a fair number of Swaro AVs in the past. Never had any issues but I didn’t use ‘em hard either?
Have an Amplus 6 on order-looking forward to trying it out.
I left the 24CF about 6-years ago after tiring of the big stick centered drama? Though he did have some good advice occasionally as long as you didn’t mind combing through mountains of garbage to find it? I don#t miss the man but I don’t wish him any ill-will either.
First ‘nice’ rifle scope I ever purchased was a Leupold Vari-X 2 3-9-40.
That was way back in 1993.
I’d dearly love to see a Leupold pass Forms drop test?
I ain’t holding my breath…
My most accurate hunting rifle I ever owned was a CZ-550 in 9.3x62 would you believe? A load with Lapua brass, RL-15 and a 286gr Nosler Partition would shoot clover-leafs all day long?
I’ve had dedicated varmint rigs that weren’t as accurate?
Not a spotting scope fan, so I picked up a Razor 18x56 a while back? Still deciding on a tripod/adaptor assembly- so for me the jury is still out on the ‘big eyes?’
Tell you one thing, the 18s are virtually impossible for me to hand-hold for any length of time. To be expected I suppose.
Another vote for the EL 8.5x42. I am currently running an EL 10x50 as my chest-rig bino and they are fantastic in low light but no lightweight at 35 ounces.
