    Reddington makes a good wader at a great price also. I currently have the freestone Simms with the zipper and I won’t go back to non zip. So far so good, 2 seasons. Korkers boots with the boa system are much better than Simms imho

    Iron Will Wide on Elk?

    I killed a bull at 45 yards with one this year. Huge blood loss and he literally went 10 yards, because he fell over backwards. I’m sold, and I have killed probably 10 other bulls with a QAD prior. My beef withQAD has been marginal blood trails.

    Kowa Genesis 8x33 vs 8.5x44

    I have not carried my 8.5x42 el’s since I bought my 8x33 Kowas if that helps. I pack 15x Meopta and carry the Kowa In a small FHF pouch.

    Bino harness opinions

    I have the Kuiu and would not recommend it. It has a stiff bar in the lid which in my experience tends to hang up on the eye cups. It is not an easy one handed deal. the pocket on the front is useless, the side mesh pockets are too tight to get a call or wind indicator into or out of easily...

    I hunt a 9000 acre ranch in Mendocino county, and know the neighboring 14000 acre ranch owner very well. There are not anywhere near the numbers of pigs there used to be 20 years ago. I saw my first hog in several years this deer season. I'd look south like central Ca or east close to hwy 5...

    Meopta 15x B1 Plus vs Maven 18x B5 opinions?

    I have the Meopta and they are brighter and clearer than my 2003 el’s. Never looked at the Maven, but can’t imagine them being better. I even find them better than a friends SLC’S.

    maybe for the fancy model, but mine is a simple lever with 4 choices, turf, rear lock, 4wd, full 4 wheel lock. No nanny making choices, and it will go ANYWHERE in full 4wd lock.

    I find both exodus and iron will fly extremely well. Really no difference that I can tell.

    Killed a bull with a Iron Will Wide this year. Dropped him in his tracks at 45 yards and massive blood. I am sold on these. I previously used QAD Exodus and liked them, but blood trails were not great.

    Montana Bow Slings

    Just returned from an 8 day elk hunt. The Montana Bow sling worked awesome. Took a bit to get the perfect placement, but once I did it was great. I ran the front hook strap right over my left shoulder strap and it carried like it was in the pack. Awesome product for elk hunting.

    20 minutes of crazy

    Did you find anything as far as the first shot? A brisket shot bull is not going to bed down in 100 yards, especially after bugling in a frenzy. You hit something else. Liver will cause that, gut also, but not a flesh wound like a brisket or a blackstrap.
