Yeah, not ditching the bubble. I usually am pretty close on flat ground and only have to tweak a tiny bit to center it up- but man shooting steep ups/downs/sidehills I have been repeatedly amazed what level actually is.
I cannot tell the difference in my groups or balance with or without my 10" Doinker stab on. Honestly, I hunt with it on because it is whole lot easier and more comfortable to carry my bow around with the stab acting like an arm brace.
I have one on my Barrett Fieldcraft 308- for what it is, I really like it. Its a 300 yd gun anyway so this scope is perfect to match the lightweight FC. I also don't have an issue with the eye relief.
Draw unit in southwest CO. Hunted through first week, takin Muzzy season off then get back out there. First week was HOT- like 85 degrees hot, nights got into 60's, all above 8k ft. Bulls are doing their thing, but mostly in the dark. Called in a half dozen rag horns and small 5's but nothing...

Wow, I will have to rescind my previous post about not knowing anyone that got a tag that had less than 3 available. Hit the "resident since" proceed button at 9am and entered my tag and checked out seemlesly- there were 2 available.
Crazy thing, my buddy got the other one
I did apply and not...
A few years ago I went through same decision tree. Ended up with a used Desert Fox (arctic fox's toy hauler). Thing is a beast and heavy- but I had a 3500 already. If you don't mind fixing stuff (you are going to have to whether you buy new or used) then go for it. I think part of every dudes...
