    Shrink wrapping spotting scope

If you do use heat shrink (and I wouldn't), keep a cold wet rag nearby and work in sections. Shrink one part, cool it down with the rag, then the next part, ect. Vet wrap is a great idea, I use it on the combs of my rifles.

    Shrink wrapping spotting scope

I don't know if they make a big enough version, but look into cold-shrink. We use that stuff regularly at work in a 2" size. It's a rubber sleeve with a perforated wound plastic strip inside which you unwind with the pull of a tab, no heat needed for it to shrink. If the main tab breaks, you...

    Chinook cooler at Costco

That's what I was wondering. It would be in a closed up truck for a few hours at a time and I was worried about ice retention. The pockets on the outside would be of no use to me. With it being sold by Costco, I guess if it didn't meet my needs I could always just return it.

Most expensive but best way to clean optics video

Yeaaaaahhhhh.....it might be the "best", but it's not for me. I think I'll stick to my lens pen and wipes in the field and the then a good cleaning with a microfiber cloth and alcohol once home.

    Chinook cooler at Costco

Anyone have experience with the Chinook soft sided coolers from Costco? I am looking at something to ride in the front seat of my truck for day trips and long drives. It doesn't seem to bad for $60

    Bipod ?

Depends a lot on how you hunt. Day hunting is different then backpack hunting. How much money do you want to spend? Do you want to be able to shoot sitting as well as prone? Will you leave it on the gun or be taking it off as you move around? Are you a buy once cry once kind of person or are you...

    Back to archery

I would head to a local shop and try as many as you can. Bows have come a long way in the last 20 years. I would even go so far as to say that today's mid priced bows will be better then flagship models from 20 years ago. And don't be afraid to buy used. I have seen a few Triax bows sell for...

Do you leave stove canister attached in pack?

I hunt in grizzly country, so I am hanging my food everyday and my stove goes up with it so it all stays together. I detach the stove so no fuel leaks

Elk 101 store now Go Hunt?

Here is one I found from Feb 2nd. It doesn't mention moving the store specifically to gohunt, but that would make sense as they are competitors with black ovis in that area.

Elk 101 store now Go Hunt?

They are staying with black ovis. Just the elk101 store "splash screen" is gone. You now login to black ovis with your elk101 login to get the discount. They sent me an email explaining this, even though I didn't renew my elk101 membership after the first year.
