I’m hoping to draw a antelope tag in unit 52 in WY. I’d like to apply for a deer tag as well. I’m wondering how the mule deer are doing in that area. I have enough points that I should draw a deer tag if I apply. However I don’t want to waste points if the herds are not doing well. I was there...
I’m prepping for my first backpack hunt. I’m trying to dial in my gear. Now that I have a pack on the way I’m wondering how your packing your pack. Are you putting everything in stuff sacks or pullouts then arranging according to size/weight? Or is it better to leave things like clothing layers...
I was planning on taking all my gear to some public ground in northern Mi that I know to try it out but plans fell through. So I decided on the back yard.
Am I the only one here that couldn’t wait to take a local trip to try out my new gear. Bought the last piece of my backpack tent/sleep system. I set everything up on the backyard Friday night to test it out in the cold and rain. Everything worked as I hoped.
Just thought I’d share.

With all of the color blind people speaking up, I don’t feel so alone. My question is what are you guys that cannot see red doing for quality range finder? I want a higher end RF but all of the nice ones have red or green reticles. The red and green ones wash out in brighter light situations for...
I left a tagged 6 point that I’d shot to help a buddy track his deer and when I came back it was gone. Tag laying on the ground where the deer had been. Wyoming is beautiful. I’ve hunted near Saratoga, Jackson and alpine. Great state. Good luck.
I used to bow hunt some state land over there in my early 20’s. Nice deer but too many chuckleheads on the public ground over there. Currently hunting in Ingram county
Hello folks. I’m from Michigan. Been hunting here all my life. I’ve have made a few trips out west and now I’m hooked. Researching and Gearing up for my first backpack hunt next year. Trying not to suffer from paralysis by analysis. Wish me luck.
