    I shot my moose last fall with a 180 gr accubond at 420 yards, from a 300 RUM. He didn’t make it 10 feet. About a week later my buddy used my rifle, after issues with his. Close to same shot distance and moose went nowhere.

    6-8 man Tent for Alaska in September

    As others have stated, I agree with the cabelas 6 man guide tent. We had a 6 and a 4 man set up in Alaska this past September in our moose camp. We had crazy winds for a day and half, the tents held up great.

    I did a drop camp with J Bar H outfitters. You will find nothing but good things said about the outfit. I wouldn’t hesitate to do a guided hunt with her, and they are under your budget.
