    I think both are good choices I like the 300 win man but that is just my preference. The wsm had a lot more hop to the kick. Brake can easily fix that.     I have seen it all and used them some. It is fun seeing the wildlife around and what they are doing.     Hunting with 24” Barrel

    I got the 20" ctr 6.5cm and am waiting on a 7" can to go with it. So hopefully it will be just like normal in the woods 27" barrel essentially. I feel like anything over26-28 in the mtns is just too long.

    Hypothetical tikka long range elk setup

    800 yards max unless you are at the range verifying hits deeper then that. I would put a vortex (razor, amg,pst), Leupold (vx3,vx5hd,mark 5), or NF (nsx,shv, etc). Definitely put a brake on. 180's have always worked well for me but with elk 200gr cant hurt. I have shot tons of elk with my tikka...

    Advice: 18” barrel + suppressor on a Tikka T3x Lite 7mm

    Trying to do this same set up but for a 6.5cm tikka t3x ctr with a tbac ultra 7. Just looking for a good scope to put on it. I like NF but they are so heavy. looking at vx5hd, shv, and cringe vortex. Want something durable any thoughts?
