Haven't use the Nomad but the EMR-II has been my favorite go-to pack. I also have an MMR, Highcamp 7000 and 4000 and Mountain Warrior but the EMR-II still gets the nod when going into the backcountry.
I've had my Ozark Trail tumblers now for about a month (bought two 30oz and two 20oz) and have been very happy. Funny, I can't imagine living without them now. My morning coffee stays hot and my cold drinks stay cold. I don't know how I survived all these years without them! First world...
Those fines are a joke. It's a shame. That's barely even a slap on the wrist. I hope they enforce the loss of hunting privileges for the full 5 year period. Hell, in some states (like Utah) you have to wait 5 years before you can even apply for a permit again when you kill one legally! It's kind...
Superb advice from Luke and someone who probably has more experience than 95% of us on the forum. And the same thought pattern I used when I went right for the EMR-II for my first high end pack.
I'm of the go big opinion if it's your main pack. I started with an EMR-II. It has been an awesome pack for both day hunting and hauling big volume loads. I have since picked up a Mountain Warrior, MMR, Highcamp 4800 and 7000. None of those bags are necessarily what I consider small but I always...
I just recently moved from the Jetboil Sol Ti to the MSR Reactor 1L. I'll put it to more use this fall but I like it better in the few times I've used it thus far.
You didn't say what size belt and pouches but that makes a difference. I wear a small belt and run small pouches usually and have no problem doing them one-handed.
Great choice! I have the same setup and love it for what I do. Welcome to the Kifaru Addicts Club. In today's society of instant gratification, it can be hard to wait more than two days (think Amazon Prime) to get your goods but this is one thing that is worth the wait. It's a killer wait, but...
I just bought two OT tumblers of each size from Walmart after seeing all the good reviews here. Never realized I needed one of these but now I'm excited to try them out. Bought four for less than the cost of one Yeti. I'd put a Yeti sticker on one also but I don't own a Yeti cooler and the...
That's another thing I love about wool is I can wear them in my workout or running shoes for a week or more before washing. I wear my wool socks for a week in my office shoes at work. Just laundry savings alone probably offsets the cost. [emoji16]
I have tried several brands of wool socks and...
I get a lot of mine from there. I've pretty much outfitted my whole family of 6 with Darn Tough! I love their running low cut running socks and various cushioned boot socks.
