I can tell when mine gets around a 1/4" off, but it takes some experience to notice it and know what's going on. Dacron strings will continue to creep for a while when new, just have to keep checking and adjusting, how well it's made and if it's pre stretched or not determine when it will mostly...
And that's when the pressure gets applied and things start twisting and bevels start shifting and then you are a long ways off from the target you were getting close too!
I just really don't understand the "trad communities disdain for chronos, they are a valuable tool if used in the right manner!
I Chrono mine all the time, not that I want to know how "fast" it is, sometimes I want to know it's speed to know how consistent I am, sometimes it's too see if it's in...
I don't have a Chinook but have a buttload of other Toelkes I shoot off the shelf, I'd listen to Dan, his bows aren't really tillered for an elevated rest, with the Ilf's you can adjust the tiller for it, and obviously the bows designed and tillered for them you can too.
I bought the Valkyrie Blood Eagles and am continually very impressed with them, are kind a bitch to sharpen though, even with their sharpening system, but man they penetrate and make a good hole!
I had a similar route to the Victory VAPS, Valkyrie had sent some of their arrow setups to rmsgear...
Even tiller with 3 under isn't odd, I'm not at all familiar with that bow though, but that seems like a very low brace hight height for a typical recurve. You are going to see a lot of different responses because these bows are all different and multiple things can cause similar in appearance...
That's not normal in my experience. Have you checked the tiller yet? So many things go into arrow flight, finger pressure etc, very few people paper tune stick bows, most group tune or just watch their arrow flight. What bow is it and what grip is it tillered for, split or 3 under?
I love them! Been shooting Victory Vap for several years and some Black Eagle Instincts, if I can find a micro that tunes I'll shoot them, if I can't I'll try to get the next size up, haven't had any issues with fletching but I haven't used anything longer than 3" on them. I think they're...
Could be cause I like taking a lot of really long shots at my 3d club and hit stuff in the target reinforcements and or hard stuff in the ground, wasn't just normal shots into the sweet spot
Buy them! But buy their sharpening wheel system too, or you will pull your hair out trying to resharpen them after shooting! They come unbelievably sharp though when you get them! Good thing is, their sharpening wheels work wonders on all 3 blade heads!
I was on the 2 blade train, I mean it makes sense mechanically, BUT, blood trails were so bad and I lost an elk that I think would of been findable with a 3 blade in hind sight that I've gained since. I still carry usually one 2 blade and everything else in my quiver is a 3 blade, I have several...
I have done exact same for years, then I bought Victory VAPS and also Black Eagle Instincts and had horrible luck with Hot Melt! Kind of think maybe something to do with smaller diameter giving less grip area, I don't know, but now I use the Black Super Glue on them, others I still use Hot Melt...
I absolutely don't trust the glue jobs done by archery shops! I also only use the Black Colored Super Glue, used a couple different brands and it always holds, but I also never keep a bottle for more than a couple months and replace it. Preparation preparation preparation, shops generally don't...
