Looking for Truck/Trailer/Towing opinions on a new Trailer

I tow our 2019 ORV 21RBS with a 2014 F150 (5.0L). It does a good job but it's definitely at the top of its towing capability. Our tongue weight is approx 800-900?. I have a good WD hitch and it's rated at 1000 but I have to set it up at the max to level the truck (4WD Supercrew). The ORVs...

If you could only give one piece of advice to a new elk hunter, what would it be?

Always nock an arrow before you call. Can't tell you how many bulls (and cows) have snuck in within 30 yards silently after I bugled.

    Company trucks/ logo'd trucks

Like others have said I'd ask. Even though your boss has said you can use it for personal use, they will probably appreciate that you are concerned about it. I had a company and had company trucks, I know I'd have appreciated that an employee recognized and appreciated that the truck is a...

Best way to carry a bugle tube

No but it's easy to set this up. I carry it on my left side so I put the cord over my head and under my left arm with bugle in front then just rotate the tube so it's small end is behind your arm. Just make loops around the small end if the cord is too long and the tube doesn't fit snug...

Is a Bugle tube really necessary ?

Who takes a whole role of TP with them???? Bugle tube= essential. Knowing how and when to use it is also essential.

Where do you carry your pistol?

Belt holster. I don't want more weight on my bino harness (44 mag revolver) and I want it with me ALL the time (breaking down an animal). I have a MR pack and the holster rides just below the pack belt.

    Short quotes that speak volumes.

Give a lazy guy a tough job and he'll figure out the easiest way to do it. A scared guy with a bucket is the best bilge pump.

    Arrow Drop at High Elevation

My son was just here (sea level) for a visit from Bozeman (4500'). His bow was shooting dead on at home but his groups (4-5") at 60 yards were almost 6" low. That seems too extreme to just be the elevation change, but it was at all ranges (less at shorter distance, more at longer). He's going...

9mm for bear protection, even grizz!?

Whatever you feel comfortable with. Just keep in mind that with a charging grizzly you will probably only have time for one or two shots (some might argue this but based on reading a lot of actual cases this is what I'm planning on) so you've got to ask yourself if what you're carrying will...

    Your weather this spring/early summer?

NW corner of WA has been cooler than normal and wetter. There's a seasonal stream near the house and it has never run after April but it was running a week or so ago. Avg high temp lately is low 60s.

    PSA--Yellowstone Closed!

Just read that the Clark Fork is way over the highest ever recorded. What a mess, that north loop road is going to take years to repair. I haven't seen any reports of deaths/injuries, hope that continues

Archery Elk hunting Solo in grizzly country.

OP- get a partner, your kids will thank you. My sons and I hunt just outside YS and last year had 3 close encounters with griz, no charges. Solo just isn't worth it in high density griz areas IMO. Statistics show much higher likelihood of being attacked when alone, two people not so much...
