    TenkaraBum.com I have a Shimatsuke Kiyotake (no longer made) Light as a feather, collapses into nothing. Love it!!! Lots of options on these. Otherwise, a 3wt Cabelas TQR fly rod/reel. I do love a UL spinning (pfleuger president).

    Very lean !!

    Never tried Antelope, but cant imagine it being any more lean than Aoudad. That stuff needs a pressure cooker to be edible.

    I simply will not hunt crowded areas. More than once I've arrived at an area before daybreak and turned around and left just from the number of vehicles at the designated parking. (State WMA's).

    How far do you drive for a diy trip

    The older I get the more I like to be in MY bed at night. The past 2 years I've driven to Deming, NM and Marfa, TX. from the E. side of Mobile Bay. Didn't draw a tag in NM this year. I'm not devastated.

    The most I ever carry is a compass. I've always had a good sense of direction in the woods. Not so much in town or in malls. Get lost in a heart beat.
