Ill second the Stone Glacier Avail. I am a smaller framed guy and was able to get it with shortened straps which helps. Perfect pack size for day trips. It is pricy but very comfortable and sturdy.
At this point I am starting to get concerned 2021 hunts may be in jeopardy. I just don’t see an end to the border closure in sight or even a reasonable plan in place to allow reopening.
I have been and it was worth it for me. I told the PH i didnt want to shoot from a truck and all the animals I took were spot/stalk or hunting over water hole. I would go back if I have the opportunity. For me hunting seeing/hunting Africa was as much of a “life/cultural experience” than...
Avoid crossfit once you hit 30...lol...I am a fitness nut myself but see more injuries in people over 30 from that than real sports! But in all honesty they are hard to avoid. Most rotator cuff tears are in people over 50 and are the wear and tear type. Certainly can be injury related but most...
Keep in mind not all shoulder scopes are the same and not all rotator cuff tears are the same depending and which tendon is involved etc...also proximal biceps tears are different from distal biceps tears...lots of variables. If the surgery was just a decompression for impingement you may be...
They are both great glass. The atx is their newer modular system which allows you to change the objective lens with the eyepiece and vice versa. The glass on the atx is slightly better in my opinion but you will probably notice less difference between the atx and ats than between the razor and ats.
For me it is highly dependent on the bow. It also takes a fair amount of trial and error. I have bows that seem to balance better with more weight up front and others with more weight out the back. Treestand hunting in Michigan I havent found much difference when shots are 30 and under but...
I have a NXS 2.5-10 on my proof research glacier ti. Balances very well. Running Hawkins rings and they are awesome. Much more stout and built in level without adding too much weight. I was running a Z5 3-18 with talley rings and prefer my current setup. I have taken it on multiple...
Good suggestions by many. It comes down to what the underlying cause for the pain is. The key is finding the correct balance of cardio/strength training that works. Wall squats are my favorite exercise in general for anterior knee pain which is the most common type of knee pain I see in younger...
Shot placement trumps all. I have no problem taking my 6.5 creedmoor on an elk hunt. I am not a large framed guy and I enjoy shooting and practicing with mine and it is a tack driver. I try to keep shots under 400 yds and if I cant get inside that, I don’t take the shot. On my last Montana...
I had a proof research Glacier Ti custom built with a shortening length of pull. I have been extraordinarily happy with it. It shoots well (under 1/2 moa with factory ammo...really likes eld-x). It was around 5lb5oz pre scoped and it is right at 7lbs with a nightforce nxs and a set of hawkins rings.
Got the official word from my outfitter (Harold from Gana River) that all of their hunts for 2020 are cancelled. Fortunately will still be able to go in 2021 as everyone bumped back a year. It is tough for all involved. As much as I have been looking forward to going I feel this is the right...
