Seek Outside Lanner 5400 with 2" and 4" frame extensions. Medium belt with pouches.
I've had this for about a year and couldn't get it to work quite right for me. Ended up using my kifaru for my hunts. Hasn't packed out an animal. The only spot that I can find showing...
I would be interested in seeing those numbers determining the K factor for a 6-48 fastener into aluminum or steel threads.
Just using a K factor of 0.2, a nominal diameter of 0.135 and 20 in-lbs nets 741lb of clamping load per screw. Increasing that K factor to 0.3 nets 494 lbs. For a 4...
I can run some comparison numbers on a 6-48 screw tomorrow when i have some time. A 50% increase will be significant. Small screws produce an incredible amount of force for torque input.
I'm not sure as to what kind of lubricant gets shipped with Vortex screws. I would imagine that bolt...
This shows an overly simplistic understanding of bolted joints. Loctite's own publication shows a difference between Loctite K values of 0.2 for a SPECIFIC bolted connection ( pg65 )and no lubricant raging from 0.28ish to 0.35.
0.3 would be a 50% increase in clamp load. I'm not entirely up to...
I just ordered a 6-36 based on my experience with its little brother. It's a great little optic for the price. The eyebox is a bit tight at high power when compared to my PM2. The reticle isn't one I would select for a hunting optic, but I think it's really good for PRS.
I'm looking forward to...
Not the 6-36 but the 4-25. My 22lr (b14r in krg xray) fell off my truckbed when a door got slammed and landed on the parallax knob. Roughly chest height onto grass.
First shots through it at 50 yds to check zero today. The red shot was my first. The green number 10 that I know I shanked...
I never figured out where the discrepancy comes from. I've had some profiles match up perfectly and others be off by that 0.1 or 0.2 mils taking the atmospherics from the binos and putting them in the app. I haven't spent much time comparing them recently.
I too much prefer the CAL, have been using my tall PSR a bit lately and I think what you're fighting is the bipod being slightly panned and then trying to adjust tilt. It will tilt easily if the legs are perfectly square to your muzzle. Introduce a slight pan (which it will do 100% when you load...
I have had one for a couple years now and like the optic alot. It has a usable reticle at all magnification levels, tracks well, and has held zero for me. There are a few things that I wish they had done differently.
I wish the elevation and windage was readable when "locked" and the revolution...
I really enjoy my manners LRH. However, if I were to order again I would ask they move the inlet rearward around 3/8" or so. The trigger is a bit of a reach for me. My EH1 is perfect.
I wasn't. I double checked my input and the binos were telling me a consistent .2 mils more elevation that the AB app on my phone from 300 to 900 yds or so. Point em at something 100 yds away and the correction would read zero. I'll play with it some more this weekend. Hopefully I can figure...
Has anyone had some time playing with this? I'm getting differences between the results my binoculars (hdb 3200.com) give me and my Applied Ballistics app does. I'll mess with it some more tomorrow, but I have double checked the inputs are the same a couple time now.
