All I remember of Buena Vista was back in 2008 we came in to get cleaned up before heading home from archery elk hunting at Buffalo Peaks. After using the public showers we ate at Jan's restaurant. The Huevos Racheros were amazing.
Hell on your teeth and complection though. Probably increases nocturnal boredom too, why else would the neighbors mow the lawn/weeds at 3am? And who really needs to scraps copper in the dark? Weird.
Been doing my best at keto and did a 25 hour fast yesterday. Only felt hungry once, had pretty...
Several things came together and started me on this journey and number one was this thread which got me to listen to the Huberman episode #86 podcast. Secondly, this thread made me really think about why, what was I trying to escape or accomplish? There's more but those two reasons are key and...
Same here but I'll see your 2 and raise you 6, 8, 10... Was very easy to start popping tops and blow off the things that needed done, and having one hand tied up with a cold one really limits productivity. I'm in it for the health aspects but now see how much hunting, fishing, anything truly...
Personally, I wouldn't have the guts to ask to return. If things are that bad to have to muster the courage to come back, I'd say she'll stick around a while.
Another thought...I was a closet sober person for the last month and this fishing trip is my first big test. It's going fine and the boys are supportive after I told them the truth. Things should get easier from here and I'm ready to move on.

One month today. Will celebrate 50th bday in less than a month. Went cold turkey on alcohol and jumped into keto at the same time. Have had 3 small ice cream cones at my daughter's summer work place but thankfully dont have a sugar tooth; haven't drank a soda in 33 years.
On a big fishing trip...
I've been shooting 225 NABs out of a 35 Sambar, aka 358 WSM, with good results to 300 yds. Very accurate but I also like the idea of a 200 TTSX for near to far without fragging.
The Daiwa Tatula 1000 spinning reel is a bit pricey but it's superb. I have one on a St. Croix Eyecon 6'3" MLXF, and a 2000 on a Daiwa 6'10" medium Tatula rod. The only difference between the 1000 and 2000 is line capacity. Both are nice for vertical jigging and casting up to 3/8oz jigs and...
20k here and my forecasted quarterlys tripled. That's going to be a bitch to cash flow. Guess I should've prepaid fertilizer at a significantly higher price, would've been money ahead.
Excellent! Having a spotter who knows what they're doing helps a lot when learning how much wind to hold. It doesn't take much wind to blow you off target when you get way out there. Good on you for practicing longer range.
