I've used mine a bunch in practice out to 650 yards seated using my pack as a rear rest. They work pretty well, not quite as easy or solid as my hatch bipod but totally great option with very little weight or $$$ penalty.
I find the 4-32 NX8 to be an awesome set up. Reticle is a little fine at 4x but useable. 32x is totally useable at the range and I find it very handy while shooting 1000 yards or more.
For hunting I basically use it between 4-20x

A few months ago late at night I was driving the ATV over to my shop 125yards down the driveway and an owl dive bombed me as well. Didn't hit me, but came close enough that I yelled out loud and about jumped off the wheeler :)
I find with my magnum rifles the primer pockets get loose first. After 6+ firings in my 300prc I end up tossing a few here and there if the old primers pop out too easy when de priming.
