Nope. The water had dropped several feet and the bank was slick and muddy. Instead of being cautious I thought I could just kind “fall into” the raft. What I didn’t consider was the pack weight, the momentum took me right over the side.
Could have been a lot worse but 29 degrees isn’t the best time to be a dumbass and go over the side of a pack raft. I’ll spare the details of how but suffice it to say I was being stupid… it’s what I get for being late and rushing.
Was 2.3 miles from the truck and other than the hands and feet...
I would seriously look into the FAA. They are begging, I repeat begging, for ops inspectors. Not only do they have openings all over the country but many can be remote as well. Being typed in the 60 and with military service I believe you would qualify rather easily. Would be an initial pay cut...

I just started using GOHUNT and really like some of the features. Was in a unit in WY this weekend using it and noticed it was “off”...
You are wrong, and judgmental, and not helpful to the future of our sport. There are almost as many types of hunting as there are animals to hunt. Some designed by necessity and others not but they all have a purpose (food, population control, etc) and I don’t look down on those to pursue the...
I know this has been discussed many times but I am struggling and hoping to finally get my personal situation settled.
I currently have 8x42 Steiner Merlins and a good tripod. Last year was my first full year in Wyoming so being a “nonresident” I was mainly hunting foothills units (no trees...
