    I’m 5’11 168 athletic build and both of my Grumman down vests are medium. Pretty snug fit, so if you plan on running any thicker layers underneath go up a size. As far as the puffy coat I can’t speak to the fit with sleeves

    Boning out vs not

    I prefer boned in when packing out. Yes it’s additional weight, but it seems more stable in my pack. I’ll bone out at camp or truck if close enough.

    I’m using a Leupold VX6HD 3-18x44, light and pretty good glass. If you stick to your scope, just keep it at the lowest power setting and zoom in if needed
