    Tikka T3x 300 WinMag - Why the 24" barrel with 1:11 twist?

    I am not sure if Tikka changed their twist rate, but I just picked up a new Tikka T3x Superlite in 300 WM and the barrel says 10". When I looked on the Tikka website (https://choose.tikka.fi/usa/code/JRAXSL31LHR10), it confirmed that the rate of twist is 1:10.

    I bought the Maven nylon cover. My challenge is that it's a bit bulky. Has anybody found a neoprene version or something lower profile? I am trying to decide if to go without it or just use a sock....
