I do now. This is definitely the way to do it as far as strength is considered.
I'm going this year in Colorado. I've never shot a mountain goat, but planning on using my 6.5 PRC. After seeing it absolutely destroy a moose 2 seasons ago I've got confidence in that rifle for anything in Colorado. Shoot whatever you are more accurate with.
I've had Gil (owner) do a euro and two shoulder mounts for me. I also have one currently in process with him. I've always had good interactions with him. I know he lost his shop manager a few months ago. For shoulder mounts he said he was about a year out, and that's when I received mine.
I got my mountain goat tag in the mail. Of course that draw was a lot sooner than others. Drew an elk tag and have not received it. Wonder how others turned theirs in before the secondary list came out.
I'm an angled guy. I feel like it is personal preference though. Also depends on how you use it. I don't think you can go wrong either way. Play around with both if you can and see which one you like better.
They are great knifes. Josh is a really good dude. I remember meeting him at some of the first Total Archery Challenges that I worked 4 years or so ago. I still use the outdoor edge replaceable blades as well. I'm happy to be a Montana Knife Company customer.
