Everyone is presupposing the scope was mounted normally and this area faced the barrel. Imagine the scope turned 90-deg. and these marks could have been made by a lot of things. I've seen/ heard of scopes mounted that way in cases where either ejecting shell casings or bolt handles would hit the...
Do they have any ties to SIG and the bi-metal case tech of the .277 Fury? Utilizing that tech in a cartridge the size of a .280rem with the 80k PSI threshold would give some noticeable juice in a non-magnum case.
That'd be welcome, especially in a vanilla T3X stainless lefty. They should add 6.5PRC in the basic stainless/synthetic model/left hand while they're at it.
My Solo/Shaw "not-quite UL/UL" has drawn first blood. It's 5lb 13oz with optic and suppressor and 10 rounds of 223 in the Lancer mag.
This doe fell to a 55gr Hornady SP. Not a terribly long shot at 70 yards admittedly but it worked just fine for a high lung shot. The bullet did not exit, but...

No real experience yet, because I haven't gotten around to loading them for my Grendel, but there is an Eld-M at 100gr. as well as the -VT. That should hold together better.
There are Hammer Hunters down to 85gr. in .264 cal. You could probably push those over 3300fps with that barrel length...
I don't own either, but did recently share space for 4 nights in the Nemo Kodiak 3p on an Idaho hunt. I was impressed with the construction and weight/pack size for a 4-season 3p tent. We each used wide/long pads and had a good amount of room in the middle for egress, which was good because that...
Mark me down for one as well. Same here for making a PA-legal deer rifle. The race is on for my Shaw barrel and my Jolene S to cap her off.
Still expect to get a spot check if the PGC sees it in the field......
