If you have ever owned a brand new Chevy after 2007 you’d understand why a 30 year old Toyota goes for so much. I had more repair costs on a truck with 45,000 miles with an extended warranty than I have had on three different Toyota’s with all well over 100,000 miles on them.
That’s what I’m shooting in mine. Stock tikka light scope. Knocks the snot out of me shooting has quite the wallop. I’ve shot a rem 700 300 rum without break and it’s mild compared to that tikka with 200 gr.
It’s good fried in yellow corneal seasoned with what you like. I like to bake it with butter and garlic and Cajun salt. It’s good boiled but I like to fill pan with enough water then put enough old bay seasoning to turn water red then I squeeze a lemon in it and throw the pieces in water then I...
i wasn’t sure if if I should have gotten a preference point or not. They didn’t charge me for one so I was wondering if I screwed up somehow. Thanks for the reply
I’m confused how it works. I applied for elk, antelope and deer preference points in 2018. In 2019 I just applied for elk and was unsuccessful do I then apply for preference point only during that period. I assumed I would of gotten a preference point when I applied for drawing. Also can I just...
It’s a glorified clothing store get my kid football and basketball shoes when they are cheaper than everyone else. Don’t think the Dicks by us sells much hunting gear it’s more a Nike/UA/adidas store with some athletic equipment. They have a decent fishing selection for Great Lakes fishing but...
The Browning Hells Canyon speed comes with a brake and is cerakoted or a Tikka T3 stainless lite and add a brake. Don’t think you could go wrong with either. The scope you have now will work good just can’t dial. If you shoot a lot longer range might want to step up later on.
Great choice on gun and caliber, 2x7 or 3x9 leuopold vari x 2 or 3 that 2x7 scope would fit that rifle perfect. My 7mm-08 & 308 tikka both shoot Winchester ammo great. 7mm-08 loved ballistic tips if your looking for somewhere to start for ammo.
Lots more compact options if you go short action calibers. 260,6.5 creed,7mm-08,270 wsm. Then could check out more rifle manufactures like tikka, rem, win and browning. But if the savage fits her good and she likes it I vote 270 out of your options.
I was at 482 gr didn’t shoot thru chrono. Ended up picking up a Prime Centergy. Gonna try 300 shafts and get arrows a hair over 500 gr shoot 125 gr heads. The Hoyt never grew on me I was shooting my older Parker Blackhawk better, I have been trying last 3 years to get the Hoyt to shoot better...
Trying to figure out a good set up for elk. I'm shooting a hoyt Faktor 30 29" draw touch over 70#. Currently shooting gold tip hunter 340 at 28.75 length shooting 125 gr slick tricks and anarchy broadheads good. I have 50 gr brass inserts in arrow and 3 fletch blazers. Thinking I want to try a...
Recoil is a funny thing I have a browning lh a bolt 7mm rem mag that brings a tear to my eye shooting it because of recoil. I helped my buddy sight in his 300 win Tikka light and thought the recoil was a lot less. Funny how that works I think the tikka just fit me better.
I'd stick with S&W,Ruger,Freedom Arms, or Magnum Research in a revolver. Everyone I know that had the Taurus got rid of them for one reason or another.
