.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Thanks. Maybe a precision AR is more in the line of what I want to go with short term then.

Interesting. I don't have dies yet for .223 but I'll have to do some reading up on that then and checking what actual OAL I can make work.

So I'm looking to put a Tikka and SWFA package together by 2024 deer season. I'd like to take my AR out some this year though, so is the consensus here that the 62gr Gold Dot/Fusion load is the best option that will fit in a standard AR mag? Not worried about distance at all, my shots here in...

    Are Honda/Toyota/Mazda/Subaru overrated?

Subaru hasn't produced an EJ25 in a decade

    Are Honda/Toyota/Mazda/Subaru overrated?

Toyota isn't without their issues, but by and large those problems are not as significant or as frequent as other manufacturers. The service department at your local Toyota dealer is still going to have cars in there for problems though. Honda used to be right there with Toyota but they've...

    Whats your SWFA going on?

Off with the old, on with the new. Got some low rings that will be here tomorrow so I'll see if I like that fit better than these mids.

    Whats your SWFA going on?

I have a 3-9 on the way that will go on my Savage 111 30-06. Replacing a Vortex Crossfire that has not been reliable at holding zero.

    CPW - ‘Righting’ some Wrongs

Take all this NR vs R stuff, fast forward 25 years, and it will be the same conversation except it will be counties of the same state and not differing states.

    Subaru durability

Well yeah, but that's what the person I responded to was talking about. If we want to get technical, the WRX has a 45/55 split and the STI has a driver controllable split. Eh, the 4EAT had its fair share of issues too. And for what it's worth, the Subaru CVT is actually a unique design that is...

You're only going to have negotiating leverage for a timing belt on pre-2011 Foresters and pre-2013 outbacks. The FB25 is a timing chain engine.

Any photos of big fox squirrels?

Any photos of big fox squirrels?

Killed this one this morning here in NC. 24 3/4" nose to tail.

No, they use the same system they did then. Default bias is 60 front/40 rear but can be shifted to 50/50 when slip is detected. Computer takes care of all that.

    Subaru durability

Sometimes brand reputation is self-fulfilling too. My 2005 Camry that has 260k miles on it and has been a great car has an almost identical oil burning problem to the Subaru problem. Its not a one off issue, Toyota had a TSB about it. Nobody wrote off Toyota over that issue. On a Subaru though...

    New to squirrels

Marlin model 60 with a Crossman 4x32 air rifle scope. I put it on because it was the only free scope I had at the time and I'm actually hard pressed to switch now.

    Subaru durability

You talking about the bushings wearing out? 62k is a little earlier than I've seen on those but yeah they switched the design from earlier generations and they don't last as long.

    Subaru durability

Currently drive a '14 Forester with 135k on it. I did a lot of reading and listening when figuring out what I would be getting into. The current FB series of engines and TR series CVTs have been in use for over a decade now. The early problems with the engines has been oil consumption due to...

    Disappointed in OnX

You have to press the location icon twice for the direction indicator. Once you move the screen it turns it off and you have to re-activate it.
