No worries my man, I’m not great with words haha. But definitely are on the same page. How some of my coworkers can have sheer confidence based off of a single three shot group is far beyond me
Not sure what you disagree on. I think that’s very valid. All I was summarizing is that the average joe typically thinks slight changes in powder charge has more of an effect than reality.🤷
Absolutely can cause changes. Especially for fellas loading near max. But they still emphasized that its weight of importance is far far less than most people think it is in the grand scheme of all other factors considered. I really liked the way he described those three shot groups I felt it...
This is a very great discussion. Bryan Litz has been saying the same thing they’ve made of point of here for quite awhile. Really really changed my view of “load development” or the lack there of. No more time or money spent pointlessly tinkering for that “magic recipe” a very helpful discussion...
I wish it worked that way, unit that I hunt as a resident takes me multiple preference points and zero for a NR. That being said it doesn’t bother me in the slightest when I’m running to non-residents out there they do bring a lot of revenue🤷 I’m also always pretty impressed by how much more...
This is some sound advice. ^ I own the Grumman but have a feathered friends that I love and have tested some rab gear and others. It opens a whole lot of options
I personally have the Stone Glacier and absolutely love it there down its super high-quality and extremely warm. I haven’t messed with the kuiu but I’m sure it’s great as well. If I were you, I would just look up weight specs, and fill weight and determine from there.
Spitting flames out of my brake bad. Terrible sd and es as well. Also I’d recommend experimenting with Gordon’s reloading tool to give you a good idea. Every setup is pretty different.
Absolutely! Especially in a regular temp range. But now that my data lined up with the other I came across I feel pretty confident too that any shift in velocity can be accounted for with all of our calculators and such. Makes me feel fully confident in it regardless of conditions forsure!
Glad to hear man! I’m shooting it out of a 6.5 prc with adg brass, 210m, 53.5 gr N560 and 147 eldm on those tests. Being able to determine and calculate the temp sensitivity factor makes it a very legitimate option in my opinion.
Just wanted to share a little bit of my recent findings and testing with this powder. I couldn’t find a whole lot of information on it as it is not currently the most popular powder choice. I think a lot of that has to do with vitavhouri and not claiming it to be temperature stable. Anyways, I...
I have a 6.5 prc and switched to n560 as well. It has a 21 inch barrel and I think you will find much better ES and SD getting a full burn. I tried h1000 and wasn’t getting a full burn the powder was a bit too slow for me in the short tube. The n560 has been the sweet spot for me
The seek outside silex is by far my favorite. The ziperless design is awesome to me with tons of room and space for gear. Also capable of running a full next as well as a stove without the nest. Super versatile and awesome shelter. Great weight as well
