That's sad for sure, hopefully his family can move on from it.
I'm not familiar with that area, does anyone know if he was off of his intended route? Or did SAR just miss him?
I'm not concerned about the velcro. Badlands uses velcro on the waist belt on the Ox for attachment. It doesn't budge. I'm more curious about the stiffness of the "stays" on the new frame.
It may be too late in the year to do it now, but I'd go talk to a local taxidermist and see if you can hang out there and get some training in exchange for your labors. Nothing beats doing it. Just make it clear you're looking to learn how to skin/cape and maybe split/turn/salt. He/she may...
I'd say that's part of your problem. You're not going to gain allot of strength when you're eating on a deficit. And for the rest, unless you progressively make the workout harder (through either intensity or duration) you're body has probably already adapted to the workout. Meaning the body...
It's really pretty simple. Stop eating processed junk and there you go. It's hard when we're surrounded by it. When you do your grocery shopping, stay out of the aisles in the middle of the store. Shop the perimeter and see what happens.
I'd take a hard look at Starting Strength. Barbell training. Focuses on squats, press, dead lifts, bench. You can work your cardio stuff in on days you lift.

Well made clothes with top of the line materials. At a price that isn't what I would consider absurd! Plus the weight savings when you buy the whole "kit". I think he saved 4 or 5 lbs over a comparable kit from Sitka.
Couple the Kuiu line of clothes with their pack or one of the...
There are some slow motion videos on youtube that may help your decision. The longer 4" vanes usually fold and roll at the shot. The shorter vanes, due to stiffness, don't usually roll/fold. They tend to keep their shape. Which is why you don't generally see a difference in the grouping...
I don't hunt with a back tension style release. But I will shoot dots with it. It really helps me with the control. If I stick with it all spring/summer, I don't have much pin drift unless there is some wind. I can put the the pin there and hold it.
@Luke, I've seen some posts in other forums that I believe to be yours. Your reviews of it helped me make my mind up on it. I'm not sweating it. Just don't want to testify to something I haven't experienced yet.
Did you post a video up from Kodiak with Stid in a sawtooth?
