    Broadhead selection?

Both. Been running those steelheads for a very long time. I still have some old ones in the box along with the new XL ones. I don't think I've killed anything yet with an XL. I think they just take quiver rides. Can't tell ya how many deer and elk those steelheads have blown through. Love the...

    Long vs short vanes....forgiving?

Hmmm......in my experience the Blazer type vanes "ballon" at around 45 to 50 yards depending on speed and weight of the arrow. I'm talking normal human measurements here not some crazy 87#'s 550 grain arrow stuff. Actually saw this happen to arrows in a 3D shoot here not too long ago. Windy...

Critique my clothing for CO early season elk!

Only thing I see you have on top is a 180 shirt and the jacket. I don't know where your hunting in Co. but I don't think that's enough. I would add another layer or two. What no skivys? You hunt commando.... I'd ditch the plastic liners. Get silk or don't use any. If your hands don't get...

    Gross weight of elk meat?

I'd say that's close. Each meat sack last year weight an average of 44#'s. Had to weight em before I put em in the paniers on the llamas to make sure they weren't over loaded. ;)

    Dromedary Bag

I'm not sure. I take a 10L MSR Drom and in my pack is a 100oz bladder. The 10L drom stays at camp for cooking and a refill of the bladder if I havn't pumped that day. Seems like I'm filling that drom maybe every third day?

I'll add a few comments: Like Evan stated Blind Bail is great for getting the feel for everything but it's not the total solution. BB is great for learning a "skill" and transferring that particular "skill" to your sub-concious mind but..... The next step and the actual problem most people...
