12 Gauge vs 20 Gauge for bird hunting

My first love is an Ithaca M37 so that's what I'm going to plug, great gun all around.....bonus points because it's ambidextrous(mostly). I'm going to say to start with get a 12. It's the .30-06 of the shotgun world. That being said a 20 is awfully nice too. I also have a Tristar O/U 12ga I...

Lefty competiton/plains hunting stock for Tikka

I'm looking for a new lefty rifle in 6.5 CM. I'm thinking American Predator or T3x for the barrelled action and putting it in a stock that's heavier than the plastic for competiton but not too heavy for flattish land hunts. The Bergara B-14 HMR looks like it would fit the bill too, even if...

    Youth Bino Harness

I'll be looking into this as well. I'm going to see if my vortex glasspack fits him and I'll probably get a T&K for myself.

    Unbiased review of Arken

Has anyone compared the standard to the Japanese glass? I would imagine it's worth the extra $75 in the SH4 but I'm curious how much better.

6.5CM for open country and comp

It starts throwing flyers. To be fully transparent I have not used any above average ammo yet. Just cheap federal and winchester hunting loads. But once it gets really hot it starts throwing flyers then if I let it cool, everything tightens back up. All at 100yds

6.5CM for open country and comp

Let me also add that any of these rifles exceed my current skill and abilities. I'm not even a 1 moa shooter right now. If my math and the weight figures I've found online are correct, the Ruger would be about 8.6-9lbs with the Boyd's before adding an optic. That seems like a good compromise...

6.5CM for open country and comp

I have a Tikka T3x SL in 308. It's fantastic as a light mtn rifle but the fluted barrel gets too hot too quick for competition. Is the Lite significantly better in that respect?
