Dead is dead. I think, generally speaking, these days too much thought is put into this cartridge vs that. I got my T3x in 308 because I'm not the type to have a specific rifle for each species, one and done for me......OK not one but not 8 either. I won't take any shots on game beyond 400 or... -

6.5CM for open country and comp
Still trying to decide. T3x Lite is $755(830 with $75 rebate) but for my purposes I would want to upgrade to a MDT XRS which will put it outside what I want to spend. Still considering: RAP $550 with aftermarket stock/chassis(leaning towards Boyd's Prairie Hunter for lack of MDT XRS in LH)... -

It's cheaper than a complete build, no ffl required, has alot more energy within its intended range, plenty of ammo options on shelves(at least where I am). All fact, not perception. Now whether those are facts you care about is a matter of opinion. -

Looks like the MDT XRS might be my ticket. A chassis that doesn't look too chassisesque and costs the same or less than the rifle. -

Yes, this is what i'm running into. IDK WTF im feeling, what I should feel, what I shouldn't feel. I get there is so much personal preference in this, otherwise there would be 1 brand. But sorting through everything when you know nothing is really tough. -

Upland shotguns
I have a Tristar O/U that I love. Shoots great. I prefer the mechanical trigger vs inertia in many others(with inertia, if your first shot is a misfire or if you have 1 shell loaded and the wrong barrel selected you don't get the 2nd shot) And I also love my Ithaca M37.
