Return of the a Achilles tendinitis

While I did not have Achilles tendinitis, I had severe plantar fasciitis/fasciosis on and off for years. Sometimes it was so bad I literally couldn’t walk. I Did all the conventional therapies, stretches, shoes, all the bullshit. The foot doc said we can try PRP that works sometimes, or surgery...

Copy. I’ll keep an eye out. I was able to score some 117 SST and 110 TGK locally. Will load up with some Staball HD and give them a shot.

    FNG from Arizona

Welcome. Another AZ guy here. Let me know if you need any help packing meat out or want to shoot. My son is close to your daughter’s age and doesn’t have any friends his age that shoot or hunt.

Yeah, a square would be better. This time instead of trying to center dot in the circle, I was more focused on the gaps in the horizontal and vertical stadia framing the target dot. The maven reticle is better and 15x does make it easier though. I shot this group with my 30-06 tikka a month ago...

I felt good up there. The dongle up front is a spartan adapter.

I just got home…. 29”, 100.7 yards Shot sequence ETA: I quoted the wrong post. But yes these damn things are everywhere out here.

Because shooting from the ground puts me at a high angle to the target stand. I know I’m better than these groups. This isn’t my first rodeo… this is what this gun is doing with these loads in these situations. That’s why I’ve been saying jumping to conclusions so fast is dumb. Too many...

Well, I just shot this. No warm up, just shoot. Interpret it however you want: Shot three, adjusted up 8 mils, shot 3, adjusted back to 0, shot 3.

Exactly. Give me a heavy precision rifle, with a higher magnification scope, precision reticle with developed loads, shooting prone from concrete at a solid target stand (not cardboard stapled to two vertical 1x2’s stuck into a saw horse) and I guarantee I can do better. It’s all context. This...

Thank you. Not to mention ammo. Recall from the beginning I made up a quick ladder with one bullet and powder, chose the fastest one because they all shot basically the same and haven’t changed since. What if if this isn’t the best load for this rifle? I don’t know, it’s shoots within my...

The reason I got annoyed is because of unrealistic expectations. The reticle has a floating dot that almost covers the target dot. It’s very hard to center a circle in a circle. Then my first group, I felt/saw the dot drift low as the shot breaks. Dot still in circle, just breaking not...

How do I shoot animals on demand? By shooting them in places that kill them. The elk didn’t seem to care that this time, on this day, I shot 14 rounds in 1.87MOA (counting all the shots) with the set up that killed her. If I could go back and tell the cow that my shooting sucked before she...

Haha, ok. When I submit my peer reviewed paper to Scientific American on zero retention in hunting rifles, I’ll ensure to remove the human element. Until then, I will keep shooting with my friends and family on Sundays… I’ll just make sure they don’t talk while I’m shooting since it’s really...

Speaking of Maven. Here are my last three groups I shot before my CO trip. All same loads on the same paper. 1st, 2nd, 3rd. First group sucked and was way low. Gathered myself, repositioned and shot again. Chilled for a bit and shot again. I see a trend. First group low. Too much pull on...

So when a shooter doesn’t have a perfect position and the bullets don’t impact the bullseye, then the shooter recognizes their mistake, then corrects their position and shoots the bullseye, the zero has shifted? That will make training new shooters easy: “Son, you missed right. It’s ok, the...

No idea. That’s why I am going to keep shooting this and see what happens. If it loses zero, then good, learned something. If it doesn’t, then good, learned something. I have a year before this rifle will go hunting. There will be a lot more shooting it by then.

Excellent feedback thank you. I will pick up some 110 TGK to try. The rifle hated 110ELDx, did okay with 110AB (could further develop them) but did well with the Bergers. I do feel a little paranoia using the bergers with so many claims of them penciling. We have not tried the 115 BT or 117...
